Mathew Miller (July 20, 1797 — May 9, 1872) was an American planter, politician, diplomat, and War of 1812 veteran who operated several plantations during the Antebellum Era, by 1850 securing a total of 500 slaves under his stewardship. Miller also held office as a Louisiana State Representative from 1859 to 1860 and later served as a Confederate envoy during the American Civil War.
