Noah Billie (September 14, 1948 – January 20, 2000)^[1] was an artist from the Seminole nation. His works presented a look at historical traditions from the Florida Seminoles, with extra emphasis on Seminole warriors.

Career

As a member of the Marine Corps, Billie served during the Vietnam War. Upon returning to the United States, Billie used art as a means of processing war-related trauma. ^[2] As an artist, Noah Billie was active from 1984^[3] to 1996.^[4] His works have been featured in the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum and the Ringling.
