Olanrewaju Alaka born Olanrewaju Mayowa Alaka also known as Larryblue,[1] is a United Kingdom Nigerian entrepreneur and publicist.[2]
Background
[edit]Alaka was born and raised in Ibadan , Oyo state . He attended Victory College and Adesina both in Ibadan, with primary and secondary education. He later went, first to Obafemi Awolowo University where he attained a degree in German. Then proceeded to Sheffield Hallam University, where he obtained a master's degree in Public Relations. After that, he returned to Germany, where he studied at the IIK Berlin and the Goethe-Institut.
Alaka started his career in 2010, when he managed a project for an international company. He has been the brand manager of Folasade Omotoyinbo, Salma Phillips, Oji Akponehwe Miracle,[3] and was the manager of James Brown before they split in June 2022.[4][5] Legit.ng described him as one of the top 10 most influential people in the digital market in Nigeria. He is the founder of "Skills Outside School Foundation" created to assist in developing human capital by training young people several skills.[6][7]
In 2023, he was awarded Outstanding Performance in Public Relations by SCREAM Awards.[8] He was also awarded best Public Relations Manager by Esteem Awards the same year.[9] He was also recognised by the Nigerian Youth League with Icon of Youth Inspiration award.[10]
