Research.com is an online platform that provides academic rankings and educational resources. The website publishes rankings of universities, researchers, academic conferences, and academic journals.[1][2][3][4][5]
Overview
[edit]Research.com was founded by Imed Bouchrika, PhD, a computer scientist and researcher, who serves as the platform's Chief Data Scientist.[6][7][8] It was initially launched in 2014 under the name Guide2Research.[9][10]
The website mainly provides rankings of colleges and universities as well as researchers.[11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19] The website also provides career guides, educational advice, and information on scholarships.[20][21]
In 2022, the platform rebranded from Guide2Research to Research.com.[22]
Research.com uses publicly available data from sources like Google Scholar, OpenAlex, and IPEDS to compile its rankings.[23][24]
