Stolas is a demon who appears illustrated in the Dictionnaire Infernal published in 1863 and described by Collin de Plancy and in the Pseudomonarchia daemonum by Johann Weyer in 1583.
In demonology, Stolas is a great prince of hell who commands 26 legions of demons (25 according to some authors). Additionally, he teaches astronomy and knowledge of toxic plants, herbs, and precious stones.
He is represented by a crowned owl with long legs, like a raven or a man.
In popular culture
[edit]Stolas is a character in the series Helluva Boss created by Vivziepop, in which he is represented by an anthropomorphic owl with characteristics similar to those seen in the descriptions from the Diccionario infernal.
