[edit]Development
[edit]In June 2022, Wes Ball entered early negotiations to develop two additional Planet of the Apes films which will complete a new trilogy, and serve as sequels to the Rupert Wyatt and Matt Reeves trilogy of films.[1][2] Ball confirmed this in December 2023, explaining that the film had been conceived as the beginning of a trilogy that "fit into the legacy of" the previous three films.[3] Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver also expressed interest in making a third trilogy of films, thus bringing the total of the Planet of the Apes reboot films to nine films.[4]
