Vijay Sharma (born 2 January 1977 in Narnaul, Haryana) is an Indian civil servant who belongs to the Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) of the 2002 batch. He has served in various capacities across different ministries and sectors during his career.[1]

He holds a Master's degree in History. With over 17 years of professional experience, he has developed expertise in various functional areas including Administration, Refinery operations, Excise, and Vigilance.[2]

Career

In June 2015, Sharma was appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the office of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar by the Haryana government.[3]

In January 2020, Sharma was appointed as a Board Director of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL).[4][5]

In January 2017, Vijay Sharma was appointed as Director in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.[6][7] His tenure in this role was curtailed in April 2020, and he was repatriated to his parent cadre, the Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS).[8][9] Subsequently, he was transferred to the Northeast Frontier Railway and appointed to officiate in a Senior Administrative Grade position.[10][11]
