History
[edit]The Hajvalia Stadium is a small football venue located in the village of Hajvalia, near Pristina, Kosovo. It has served as the home ground for KF Hajvalia, a football club that was established in 1999 and competed in the Kosovo First League. The stadium has a seating capacity of 4,000 and primarily hosted local football matches. The club and the stadium gained brief international attention in 2017. KF Hajvalia in 2014 made a playful offer to sign Luis Suárez during his FIFA suspension.[2]
The stadium's history is closely tied to KF Hajvalia, a relatively small but ambitious football club that dissolved in 2018. Despite its modest size, Hajvalia Stadium remains a symbol of the local football culture in Kosovo.
Role in Kosovo football
[edit]Hajvalia Stadium, located in the village of Hajvali, plays a key role in the training of Kosovo's national football team. Known as the National Training Camp, it is regularly used by the team for preparations ahead of important matches. For example, the Kosovo national team conducted light training there before their Nations League clash with Romania and ahead of a friendly match against Norway. The facility allows the team to focus on tactical preparations and physical conditioning in a structured environment close to Pristina.
In addition to training, the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK) has been working on further developing this site as part of broader infrastructure improvements. The camp is a product of UEFA-funded projects aimed at enhancing sports infrastructure in Kosovo.
FC Hajvalia (Albanian: Klubi Futbollistik Hajvalia), commonly known as Hajvalia was a professional football club based in village Hajvalia of Pristina, Kosovo. The club last played in the First Football League of Kosovo, which is the second-tier of football in the country.
In June 2014 after Luis Suárez was suspended from FIFA because of the bite that made to Giorgio Chiellini. Hajvalia sent an offer the Liverpool for Suárez with a four month duration as much as his four-month suspension from football was. The offer was £24,000 (€30,000) and a salary of €1,500 for each month.
