Add more reasons to dropdown

If there's no objections, I request replacing the current contents of this page with

* Common move reasons
** Misspelled
** Make shorter ([[WP:CONCISE]], [[WP:PRECISE]])
** Change to sentence case ([[MOS:AT]])
** Remove unnecessary parentheses/disambiguator

This will add some common reasons to the "move page" dropdown choice of reasons. Tested on testwiki.[1][2]. Thanks. –Novem Linguae (talk) 16:24, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Some more reasons to dropdown

Hello. I have a few more ideas for some more common reasons.

** Reverting Page-move vandalism ([[WP:MOVEVANDAL]])
** Performing requested move, see talk page 
** Publish page to mainspace
** Add parentheses/disambiguator
** Fix grammar
** Reverting undiscussed move ([[WP:BRD]])

(and possibly)

** Archiving talk page
** Move to draftspace ([[WP:DRAFTIFY]])
** Swapping two pages ([[WP:SWAP]])
** Performing requested technical move ([[WP:RMTR]])

These are just some quick ideas I came up with by looking through the move log, and some might not be necessary or need adjusting, but I think more than the current 4 reasons would be good, especially the Requested move and Publish page ones. @Dinoguy1000, would you please re-word the "publish" item? Wikipedia:Moving a page is not the same as publishing it, even if you move it into the mainspace. Publishing is when you make the page available to the public. That happens on every page, and it happens when you click the "Publish page" button, not when you move ("rename") the page. I would suggest "Move page to mainspace", perhaps with a link to WP:MOVE, as a sensible option, but so long as the result doesn't claim that it's the page mover who published the contents, I'd be happy with anything that works for you. @WhatamIdoing: I have no problem with that; when I added these items in the first place, I copied them directly from @EchidnaLives:' comment above. I also went ahead and removed "page" from the item, to match the "Move to draft" item a bit further down. File naming criteria

Please add the commonly-accepted file renaming reasons from WP:FMV/W:

**[[WP:FNC#5]]: Correct obvious errors in file names
**[[WP:FNC#6]]: Harmonize file names of a set of images to ease their usage in templates
**[[WP:FNC#7]]: Disambiguate files with overly similar names
**[[WP:FNC#8]]: Remove pejorative, offensive or crude language that would not be appropriate in the file description
**[[WP:FNC#9]]: Rename files that shadow a Commons file or redirect
