Pablo Pereiro Lage (Lugo, June 15, 1976) is a Spanish lawyer.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Pereiro Lage was born on June 16, 1976, in Lugo, Spain.[2][failed verification] He studied Law at San Pablo CEU University in Madrid, and later he obtained Master's degree in Advocacy from the Illustrious Bar Association of Lugo.[3][4]
Career
[edit]In 2000, he founded a law firm that merged with the professional society Pereiro Lage Abogados.[5] In September 2003, Lage founded Squirrel Capital.[6][7] In 2012, he founded the advertising agency Best Option Media.[8] In 2013 Lage launched BOM Comunicación, Segam Real Estate and Best Option Games.
Squirrel Capital
[edit]Lage founded Squirrel Capital in September 2003, a holding company that brings together companies in the fields of communication, real estate, and professional services. In 2013 Squirrel Capital entered the Italian market with two new companies: Best Option Media Italia and Best Option Products Italia.[9][10][11] In 2016, his company Squirrel Capital acquired a 25% stake in Vértice 360, an audiovisual production and distribution company that was undergoing insolvency proceedings. In a year, the company get out of bankruptcy, was again listed on the stock market, and signed film distribution contracts with national and international producers.[2][12] In 2019, he continued working in media sector and added the theme TV channels Nautical Channel, Horse TV or Class TV.[13] In September 2021, Vértice 360 was rebranded as Squirrel Media, and its ticker on the Madrid Stock Exchange became SQRL.[2][14] His company acquired production companies Grupo Ganga, known for the series Cuéntame cómo pasó,[15][16][17] La Comercial, which produces Madrileños por el mundo,[18] BF Distribution, the film distributor in Latin America,[19][18] and OTT platform CanalDeporte. His company also initiated the acquisition of Mondo TV Studios, a company dedicated to producing and distributing animated content.[20][21][22] In 2024, Squirrel Media acquired IKI Group, an advertising group in Spain,[23][24][25] and Design Thinking Sweden,[26] followed by the acquisition of The Hook in summer of the same year.[27]
Personal life
