The plurality-rule family of voting methods is a system of ranked voting rules based on, and closely-related to, first-preference plurality.^[1] The rules share several major features like center squeeze and tend to produce similar results. It is often contrasted with the two other major families of voting rules, the evaluative rules and the majority (or Condorcet) rules.
