Sholai The Scrap Shop is an Indian Malayalam-language directed and written by Siju Kamar and produced by Scaria Chacko, features editing and visual effects(VFX) by Nitin Nibu (Ozwo Film Factory). Karthikeyan and Ambili Karthikeyan worked as the executive producers. The film features lyrics by Siju Kamar and Haris Kassim, with music composed by Hareesh Pulathara, Srutheesh Cherthala, and Haris Kassim. The chief associate director was Rajesh Adoor, and the cinematography was handled by Jagadeesh V. Viswam and G.K. Ravikumar, while the screenplay and dialogues were co-written by Siju Kamar, Ansar Haneef, and Sujith Nair. Josy Alappuzha composed the background score, and Shaji Kollam was the production controller. The sound mixing was done by Gijumon T. Bruts, with songs mixed and mastered by Vineeth Esthaphan at Audio Matrix Alappuzha. Rajesh P.M. was responsible for sound design, and Binith Batheri served as the art director. Vishnuraj K. worked as the sound engineer, while the associate directors were Sreejith Nandan and Sajan George. Shejin Alappuzha handled public relations, and the costume design was done by Sukesh Thanoor. The makeup department was led by Roy Pallissery Antony, and the action sequences were coordinated by Dragon Jirosh. The choreography was done by Suji Joseph and Rajin Joy. Visual effects, titles, and DI were managed by Ozwo Film Factory, with poster design by MA MI JO and still photography by Salu. The assistant directors included Suneesh S.K., Anandhu Suresh, and S.J. Sajith.The film follows brothers Antony and Manuel as they struggle to survive after losing their mother, only to face a tragic turn of events when Manuel is murdered on his wedding night, prompting Antony to seek justice and uncover the truth behind the crime.

Plot

Sholai The Scrap Shop follows the tumultuous lives of two brothers, Antony and Manuel, who struggle to survive after the death of their mother. The story takes a dark turn when Manuel is brutally murdered on his wedding night, prompting Antony to embark on a quest to uncover the truth behind the heinous crime. The film delves into themes of brotherly love and the thirst for revenge, showcasing the intensity of their bond in the face of adversity.

Production

The film marks the directorial debut of Siju Kamar, who also wrote the screenplay. It features a unique narrative style that goes beyond the traditional boundaries of friendship and highlights the profound love between brothers. Release

Sholai The Scrap Shop was released in theaters on November 18, 2022. The film later debuted on YouTube through the channels of social media stars Rajesh and Chinnu, both of whom also appear in the film.
