Soroush Helali (born 7 July 1991) is a Belgian-Iranian film[1] and television actor.[2][3][4]
Early life and career
[edit]Soroush Helali was born on July 7, 1991, in Tehran, Iran. He attended Shahid Beheshti school in Tehran before moving to Belgium at the age of 11 with his family.[5][6][7]
Soroush completed his secondary education at the Heilig Hartinstituut in Leuven. He then graduated from the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels with a master’s degree in film directing. Since 2017, he has pursued a career as an actor.[8]
Martial arts background
[edit]Soroush is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has a professional background in mixed martial arts and freestyle wrestling. He was a member of the Belgian national Jiu-Jitsu team and competed in the 2014 Ju-Jitsu World Championships in Paris. Over the years, he has won several medals in both European and national competitions and fought in three professional MMA bouts, including one for the Belgian title. He incorporates his martial arts experience into his acting, often performing his own stunts.
