The article is a good start, but as it is written currently it suggests already in the first line that "the 2011 mine accidents" in the Ukraine were these two accidents only. However, one can be sure that there are more mines in the Ukraine in which accidents occured, therefore I consider the original title refering to the name of the mine better - and obviously there should be a seperate page for the other mine in which the cage crashed down. The fact that the two mines incidently happened on the same day does not indicate that the two accidents would be linked.

Also, reading about the mine and its accident would require first some general technical data about that mine to better understand the circumstances.

Please avoid the impression that these two accidents were the only accidents in Ukrainian mines. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.200.70.42 (talk) 11:48, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It was suggested again at the AFD that this article be renamed and/or it's scope expanded. That seems like a discussion that should be had here. This article could be renamed and expanded into a general article about mining and mine safety in Ukraine. Thoughts? Beeblebrox (talk) 16:24, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think it provides an opportunity to create an actual Coal mining in Ukraine article, rather than the re-direct, which would entail expanding the scope not to talk just about the accidents, but the industry in general. I think we need expert help.--Cerejota (talk) 19:12, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
