Absolutely dreadful page name. Too long. Does it need 2105 in the title? If this sort of shooting happened in another year maybe, otherwise I would think the disambiguation is unnecessary. Then again WP:Naming conventions (events) seems to say I'm mistaken!

I've noticed the unusual (to me) use of the term 'encounter' before in the vein of police shootings in India. The inference, and I see it in the text here too, is that the police basically 'executed' the people and made up a story about being attacked to justify it. This usage is confusing to non-indians as encounter usually merely means to "meet, perhaps unexpectedly". Apparently it can can also mean to confront, which appears to be the usage here, but is not one I have encounter-ed (There's that word again! meaning 'come across' or even 'seen') as an Australian English speaker, anywhere else but Indian related pages on Wikipedia .

Confrontation is a far better word to use in this context than 'encounter', IMHO.

Instead of

"2015 sandalwood smugglers encounter in Andhra Pradesh" I would suggest:
"Andhra Pradesh tree smuggler shootings" was my first thought, but
"2015 Andhra Pradesh tree smuggler shootings", as "When, Where, What" is the convention per MOS.
