Chief Business Officer

[edit]

I can't find any references stating that this was his position with the Government of the District of Columbia. It appears he was Chief of Staff. Bangabandhu (talk) 16:12, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

He was appointed Chief Business Officer in 2007 [1]. Middayexpress (talk) 20:16, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The financial irregularity allegations are covered on the main page in their full context. Middayexpress (talk) 20:16, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
He was Chief Business Officer of DC Public Schools, according to the citation. The reasons for resignation from the CBS need to be discussed on his page. What makes you think that main page gives them their full context? Bangabandhu (talk) 15:51, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The full context is that the SEMG made the allegations, Omer immediately denied the claims and instead explained where the funds were still apparently deposited, the government supported him, and an audit eventually cleared him of any wrongdoing. He then later resigned after the presidential office informed him that institutional changes would be made at the bank. Middayexpress (talk) 16:51, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Research DC - Reliable Source?

[edit]

Significant amount of text in this article is sourced to research DC. Is that a reliable source? It seems to exist solely for the promotion of Omer. Bangabandhu (talk) 19:48, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Research DC is a website dedicated to accurate research of projects and professionals in the Washington D.C. area. Omer is its present featured professional [2]. Middayexpress (talk) 20:16, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
There's nothing on that page that leads me to believe it is anything besides a vehicle for Omer's promotion. Bangabandhu (talk) 15:50, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The profile is actually originally from NARPAC [3]. Middayexpress (talk) 16:51, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not revert edits without explanation. I have given you prior notice here, which you deleted from your talk page. The source you continue to restore, and cite throughout the article, researchdc, is self-published and should not be used. Thank you. Bangabandhu (talk) 15:43, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. The profile is actually originally from NARPAC, as already shown above [4]. Research DC also isn't a deadlink, as you also somehow claimed [http://www.researchdc.com/index.html. Middayexpress (talk) 16:21, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
What is the relevance of that Narpa link? the Reliable Source Noticeboard recognizes that ResearchDC is self promotion. And the link you continue to restore says it is to his CV- which shouldn't be linked, anyway - while it links to something else, entirely. Bangabandhu (talk) 16:38, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I see that you have replaced the "CV" that linked to ResearchDC with this link, instead. Which leads me to suggest that you familiarize yourself with a Curriculum vitae. Bangabandhu (talk) 16:44, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, you forgot to mention that the profile is actually originally from National Association to Restore Pride in America's Capital (NARPAC), not Research DC [5]. The external link also isn't from Research DC, but rather from Intelius [6]. I know what a curriculum vitae is, thanks, and I also know that that external link is valid per WP:BLPEL.
