  • Agent Orange has had an enormous influence on the punk and hardcore scene{{Fact|date=January 2007}}, even though band members stated on Living in Darkness that "We don't feel a part of that scene at all."

The reference that the previous poster was referring to was the studio interview that was included on the Living In Darkness CD, track 16. This one track is a gold-mine of interesting info on Agent Orange and their attitude at the time. They complained about working in the studio, not having enough time to make everything "perfect," and the drummer's desire to "mic the drums," haha. and a lot more. Anyone who hears the interview and the part where they had to "ride the bus to take our boogie-boards to the beach" will certainly hear the quote mentioned above.

Agent Orange and their recordings are one of the true underappreciated bands of the punk rock era. Their recordings and great lyrics still stand up today. Especially considering "Everything turns grey," their lyrics are remarkably prescient to our current society of 2009, including "The last goodby." When you learn, through the interview, that half the lyrics were written on "a Taco Bell napkin" when the band was under pressure to record, you'll quickly reframe your attitude towards this awesome band. Or, you could listen to their transcendent version of "Pipeline." --Torchpratt (talk) 14:52, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I found this cover of the Get Smart theme on youtube. It claims the song is by Agent Orange.

Is it worth footnoting?

offspring disagreement, vandals song

[edit]

Interesting no mention of the time they approached the offspring over their song "Come Out And Play". There's some material here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Come_Out_and_Play_(Offspring_song)#Legal_issues
