Dubious

[edit]

The article currently claims: "In July 1996 he obtained rare “double silk” status upon being called to the Bar of England and Wales". This claim is dubious. One does not become even a single layer of silk upon being called to the bar. Being called to the bar in two jurisdictions certainly does not make one two-ply silk. --PalaceGuard008 (Talk) 00:19, 20 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wording

[edit]

Hi @PalaceGuard008. Apologies, I think my wording got mixed up in what was quite a large rewrite of this article. He is dual qualified as a Barrister and Advocate which is a separate point, but the line you have queried should state that he took silk in Scotland in 1999 and took silk in E&W in 2017. Hope the article now more clearly states this. Llemiles (talk) 10:16, 20 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
