Car Accident

[edit]

I don't know if this has ever been reported anywhere, but I understand he was the driver in a car accident in Sydney in which a pedestrian was accidentally killed. I think this occurred sometime between the 1940s and the 1950s. The reason I know of this, is that the pedestrian was my uncle's brother. I'm certainly not wanting to blacken McGilvray's name (it was an accident), and I'd need to find a published source, but I'd appreciate another opinion as to whether this is an appropriate matter to include in his article. If it is factual, I can't see why not. Others may disagree. JackofOz 22:15, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say that its not worthy of a mention (with due respect to your uncle's brother), even if a source was found. If it was widely known and reported (which it doesn't seem to be), then maybe, but bad things do happen and they're not always encyclopaedic. That's my opinion anyway. —Moondyne 01:27, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I think that's a good way to look at it. Thanks, Moondyne. JackofOz 01:29, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
