Just do a simple google search you will find hundreds of articles and thousands of references. Alternative Finance needs to be distinguished with Alternative Financial Services.[reply]

Can you please do a simple google search to find out more about alternative finance and its prominence before deleting this entry for the sake of knowledge?

"Innovative" is a common Appeal to novelty used by advertisers. That, the focus on growth, and one of the sources being corporate gives the appearance of advertising.
Even if those issues were fixed: It's not our job to "Just do a simple google search," the WP:BURDEN of proof lies on you as the article creator. You need to bring in professionally published mainstream academic or journalistic sources that are specifically written to explain what alternative finance is (the essence of it, not just the effect of it), in addition to being independent of alternative finance (i.e. not from companies aiming for profits by recommending it). This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --PhilosophyKing (talk) 21:16, 23 July 2015 (UTC) I take your points. But please give time, you will appreciate that excellent Wikipedia articles are not created overnight. It is a crowdsourcing activity. I respect your zeal and professionalism. However, attempt to deleting a new entry on a complex matter merely minutes after it was created goes against the ethos and principles of Wikipedia. I don't think this kind of over-zealous approach is conducive to further the mission of Wikipedia, that is to expand the boundaries of knowledge. Some of us don't and cannot contribute to Wikipedia everyday and I am absolutely shocked by the speed and manner that new entry is being policed these days. Again, I understand why you are doing it but please do allow someone else to contribute to the Wikipedia who could be a little slower and more amateurish than you. Thanks.[reply]

Articles that survive these days are drafted beforehand by gathering reliable sources and summarizing them before posting. Ian.thomson (talk) 21:21, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I appreciate that's the way it is these days, but isn't that a little sad? If an article creator cannot post a beautifully written and expertly sourced piece within minutes then the entry is immediately under threat for permanent deletion? Well, I hope an administrator will get to read this talk. Wikipedia is and has always been a crowdsourcing project made possible by a bunch of devoted amateurs and enthusiasts. If it has become so controlling, impatient and even ruthless for the sake of combating 'trolls' and protecting its integrity, then perhaps it has lost its way a bit? Isn't tolerance, collaboration and patience some of the founding principles of Wikipedia? It should always be a creative common, not a police state with excessive surveillance and control.

I strongly believe Alternative Finance is one of the most significant socio-economic-cultural-finanicial phenomena of our time in a post-crisis economy. Understanding it, theorising it and promoting the knowledge about it is fundamentally important, for individuals, businesses, SMEs, creative artists and industries, innovation, research, entertainment and development etc. So I hope you, the Administrator and hundreds of Wikipedia supporters will help me improve and expand this entry, not to delete it. Alternative finance is not Alternative Finance Services. I won't edit this entry any further. I place my trust in Wikipedia.

It's sad that article creators need to prepare a bit before posting an article on one of the top-ten most viewed sites on the internet? Ian.thomson (talk) 22:26, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
