The article says: "and the western parts of the former Soviet Union." But is not this the common art also in Caucasus, China, and northen part of Asia?

The picture on the right side ist Astacus leptodactylus (The picture is also titled A. leptodactylus, but you can't see the title on the main page. Russian threatening saying
