Baisha Status

[edit]

Hey Ekdalian generally The Hindu community in Bengal was divided into only two Varnas: Brahmins and Shudras. is it right to mention the "Baisha" Saha here?? do you have some sources that claim sahas are granted The vaishya status?? Nobita456 (talk) 06:41, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing out! Check my latest edit. Ekdalian (talk) 07:32, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your work.I think removing the "baishya" word from the article title would be more appropriate.and please find some sources that describe the varna status of this casteNobita456 (talk) 07:52, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with the article Saha (surname)

[edit]

Merging the "Baishya Saha" article with "Saha (surname)" would streamline content and avoid redundancy, as Baishya Saha is a sub-group within the larger Saha community. Consolidating the articles ensures that readers get a unified, comprehensive view of the surname without fragmenting the information. Any unique details about the Baishya Saha group can still be included within the larger context of the Saha surname.  Saurabh  Talk? 17:53, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
