Why a polonism was used in the title for a place in Ukraine? --Irpen 00:58, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It was known as Cudnów than, but I am not opposed to a move. Feel free to correct the name in the campaignbox to simplify this in the future. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 12:38, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have no doubt that Polish sources called it Cudnow both back then and now. The Ukrainiane name of the place is Chudniv. English sources that mention the battle use either Battle of Chudnov (Russian name) or Battle of Chudniv. Both are fine with me. Gimme a couple of hours to so some research and expand the article. Several significant facts are omitted. --Irpen 17:14, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I just hope those facts are from modern reliable sources not XIX century Tsarist Russian histography, Soviet books or Panslavist texts about Poland. If you have such sources it would be best to show them here first for consideration, as they have proved to be highly controversial in portaying Polish history--Molobo (talk) 17:39, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Use Chudniv. Subtelny uses it. Ostap 22:01, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I will move the article soon.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 22:10, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
