Lies?

[edit]

How can you make a website on a real person, pretend they're from a place they're not really from, reference no sources, and get away with it? His surname El-Maghnaoui literally means "Maghnia" in Algeria, and in his song "Je t'aime l'Algerie," he explicitly states that he is Algerian and was born in Maghnia. "Je t'aime, je t'aime, je t'aime toute ma vie. C'est toi l'Algérie, une chance qui t'appelle, à Maghnia je suis né, où j'ai l'amour et l'amitié. Oui a Tlemcen c'est joli, c'est la lumière de ma vie" He has several additional songs in which he refers to his homeland, such as "El-Djazair," which literally means "Algeria," "Sonatrach," a well-known oil company in Algeria, and "Ya wahrania, waldik fakou bya," which is about a girl from Oran. not to mention the very clear Algerian tlemceni dialect in his songs and the fact that every musician he has ever collaborated with is Algerian as well. He's not a famous person, hasn't been in the Rai scene for decades, and there aren't many publications that talk about him, so I understand if none of these things make this wiki page publishable, but giving him a completely different identity and claiming he was born in a city he's only been in for a festival is completely unacceptable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Slothtysloth (talkcontribs) 10:41, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
