Fictitious reference

[edit]

@Hieronymusharold: I found a copy of Finding the Right Place on the Map: Central and Eastern European Media Change in a Global Perspective. It does have a chapter written by Peter Gross, but that chapter is titled "Dances with Wolves: A Meditation on the Media and Political System in the European Union's Romania" rather than "The Romanian Press: From Party Propaganda to Corporate Interests", and it doesn't mention the Bucharest Herald at all. I'm concerned that this might be a fictitious reference. Did you get that citation from an AI? jlwoodwa (talk) 22:08, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have found a copy of "Journalistic Elites in Post-Communist Romania", and it does not mention the Bucharest Herald either. jlwoodwa (talk) 22:11, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have found a copy of Romania since 1989: Politics, Economics, and Society, and it does not mention the Bucharest Herald either. jlwoodwa (talk) 22:15, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I searched online, and the only entity named "Bucharest Herald" that I could find was an online news website that was probably founded around 2008. jlwoodwa (talk) 22:17, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
