Non neutral

[edit]

The "bus network is a shambles"? Sources definitely needed to back up a loaded, POV statement like that. The "Overview" paragraph really needs a rework to become NPOV. Stevage 08:55, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I tried, I really did, to rewrite that "General Overview" to NPOV standard, but the whole paragraph was an undiluted rant full of emotive language. Completely true of course, but so hopelessly and unsalvageably POV that I regretfully deleted it. Was going to move it to a "Criticisms" section (the last refuge of the scoundrel!) but could find no sources to back up the claims and complaints. --Canley 04:47, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

History of Ventura OR History of Buses in Melbourne

[edit]

The history section reads like the history page from the Ventura website, if I didn't live in Melbourne, I'd think Ventura was the only historical bus company in Melbourne. Sohan.s 14:04, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Less frequented?

[edit]

User:Fremantle99 changed the description of the bus network from "a major form of public transport in Melbourne" to "less frequented...". I don't regard that as a helpful edit. Without the buses, the system would collapse anyway. I see no point in this change. "Less frequented" would only make sense if one was directly comparing systems, and that's not the purpose of this article. I reverted, and he simply reverted back. I won't revert again, but I seek sensible discussion. HiLo48 (talk) 23:28, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't revert it back, I just added a reference to support my claim. If you don't regard this as a helpful edit, feel free to edit it to it's original state Aneditor (talk tome) — Preceding undated comment added 09:26, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Recent developments

[edit]

This entire section looks very old for "recent". Metlink haven't been around since 2012, and have been replace by PTV. Significant history, yes. Not recent however. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brian May (talkcontribs) 03:20, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
