Bus service on french side

[edit]

In the 1980s it was possible to travel through Canfranc from France. The trains didn't run, but an SNCF bus would take you from Oloron up into the mountains where you'd get a train to Zaragoza. Anyone know when this service was dicontinued?Nickpheas (talk) 11:58, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Never; these buses are still operated. Ligne 55 in https://www.ter.sncf.com/nouvelle-aquitaine/se-deplacer/fiches-horaires holds the current timetable. GeorgR (de) (talk) 23:15, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Who financed its construction?

[edit]

The article needs some information about the origins of the plan and the investment monies. Since the railways in Spain were not nationalised under RENFE until 1941, was it done by a privately-owned railway company? Blurryman (talk) 18:55, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
