moderate P-T conditions

[edit]

What does "moderate P-T conditions" mean in English? User:Fred Bauder Talk 17:18, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK pressure-temperature (PT) conditions of metamorphism User:Fred Bauder Talk 17:22, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
How 'bout greenschist facies to amphibolite facies ... yeah, that's not "plain English" either. From greenschist article: "Temperatures of approximately 400 to 500 °C and depths of about 8 to 50 kilometers are the typical envelope of greenschist facies rocks." And "in excess of 500 °C and pressures in excess of 1.2 GPa" from amphibolite facies. Hope that helps. The article mentions "The accompanying amphibolite facies metamorphism", guess that could be specified ... thinkin'. Vsmith (talk) 23:38, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
