Is the Scott Medal just awarded to Gardai? I think it may be. Also, it was established in 1923, not 1946. Supersheep 11:49, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]


I have removed "It is interesting to note that Irish citizens are still awarded British honours today. These are regarded as honorary awards, unless the person being honoured is serving with the various Irish Guards regiments of the British Army" because this is completely irelevant as people from many different countries recieve these awards, such as knighthoods for Steven Spielberg and Bill Gates for eaxmple —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.2.123.45 (talk) 23:16, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
