I hope the article will not be deleted as this is an important statutory body in Ireland. I have deleted all material copied and pasted from the Commission's web-site and from the legislation establishing the Commission.I am sorry - I did not realize that this was a copyright problem as I thought they were public. I have made changes to the remaining text. I will try to find different sources give details of the Commission's mission and responsibilities. In the meantime, perhaps others can add or edit.PhiloctetesX (talk) 12:16, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because I have deleted all material copied and pasted from the Commission's web-site and from the legislation establishing the Commission. I am sorry - I did not realize that this was a copyright problem as I thought they were public. I have made changes to the remaining text. I will try to find different sources give details of the Commission's mission and responsibilities. In the meantime, perhaps others can add or edit.--PhiloctetesX (talk) 12:19, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Total re-write done

[edit]

I have now done an almost total re-write and added new references. Hopefully this will meet criteria. Thanks for all the help. PhiloctetesX (talk) 13:49, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I have checked all the referenced sources and the website and did not find copyright violations in the current version. I guess this issue is only for administrators so I have not deleted the deletion template.Ballyeagh (talk) 14:45, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect Public Appointments Service has been listed at redirects for discussion to determine whether its use and function meets the redirect guidelines. Readers of this page are welcome to comment on this redirect at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2023 October 18 § Public Appointments Service until a consensus is reached. I have restored the redirect and rewritten the lede to make clear that they are separate bodies. The previous gnomic text "The Commission is not to be confused with the Public Appointments Service" was unhelpful since it gave no hint as to what the PAS actually was apart from 'not the CPSA'. Perhaps the article should be moved to Public sector recruitment in the Republic of Ireland to avoid giving one body priority over the other. Of course, not all public sector recruitment is via the PAS. jnestorius(talk) 14:53, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
