I undertook a protracted copyedit to wikify this article, clean up the citations, lift critical templates and objectify a great deal of non-notable laudatory puff which would be more relevant to a CV than an encyclopedia. Many references were made to the subject by his first name, which I converted to the surname, etc, etc. A single-interest IP editor then came along and in a series of nine edits reverted most of my constructive contributions, without reinstating the critical templates. Sorry, but this won't do. I'm prepared to argue the merits of my changes and invite the IP editor to put his version to the test on this talk page before cutting loose again. Hi Brian

Thank you for your interest in the profile I wrote on Dallas Dempster.

There are, however, a few issues I have with the changes. The major one is that you are now referring to a source, namely an article published in The Sunday Times on 31 December 2011, which is full of inaccuracies. In fact it was the inaccuracies of that very article that prompted me to establish a profile on Dallas Dempster so that people could search for and find a more accurate account of his life and career.

I am going to largely leave your revisions intact but will be making the following updates:

1. Adding that his bankruptcy was annulled in 1999. 2. Removing the comment in the second sentence "which were associated with the WA Inc scandal". I'm not sure why out of everything Dallas Dempster has achieved in his career, that is what you'd choose to focus on. I have covered off on the Royal Commission later in the entry, and never tried to gloss over it but I don't think that this is his major legacy, given he was exonerated by the commission. 3. In the 4th paragraph under the Property Development heading, making it clear that hi s investments in Titan Ford and various agricultural projects are historic rather than current.

I have redacted your contact details, as discussions on content should be really by done here, not off-wiki. Can you please confirm that you have read the guidelines at WP:PSCOI and declare whether or not you or your company are employed, contracted or otherwise engaged by Mr Dempster or any of his related companies. In regards to the newspaper article that was "full of inaccuracies", it is not wikipedia's job to "right wrongs" or provide a positive spin. Wikipedia articles are meant to reflect what independent, third party, reliable sources have said about someone - and the Sunday Times counts. You run a PR company, if there were wrongs in the article get them or another paper to publish the correct info. Don't publish your original research here. You might not like it, but he is primarily associated with Burswood, PICL and WA Inc. To me the bankruptcy doesn't need to be in the lead paragragh, it should be lower down, but his involvement in the PICL/WA Inc scandal should be in the lead. Date of birth

The info box says 21 August, but the lead sentence says 27 August. They can't both be correct. Mitch Ames (talk) 08:41, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

Right. The sole listed reference gives 27 August, so I've made it that pending possible arrival of a more reliable source. Cheers, Bjenks (talk) 05:17, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
27th according to the birth notice in The West Australian. Hack (talk) 07:31, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
