Merge

[edit]

This article should me merged with Leviathan. There is no real scope for expansion, and it clearly overlaps with that article, as the reference to Moby Dick indicates. Rwood128 (talk) 17:20, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

On further thought it seems that the two articles are distinct, though they are both associate the whale with the Devil. Perhaps they might be combined into a new article Whales and the Devil? Rwood128 (talk) 15:25, 14 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If any, this article should be merged into Aspidochelone, they are clearly talking about the same thing (big whales, confused with islands, originally named turtles).
Leviathan on the other hand is associated with different forms than whales. I don't think the fact that Christian religion started associating everything that was "demon, monster, evil" to the devil warrants it's own article specifically for sea monsters. 2001:9E8:2204:3900:243C:95CD:61C7:EEFF (talk) 14:21, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
