Ad-speak

[edit]

This article was packed with ad-speak, including gratuitous phrasing about a restaurant. Future ad-speak will be checked for conflict of interest.

It may be impossible to accurately represent the Dundee strip and business area without describing landmark businesses which draw commuters from all areas of Omaha. - Izardstreet

North Omaha

[edit]

Should Dundee be included in the article on North Omaha? Talk about it here. Thanks. - Freechild 02:45, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe not, since Dundee used to be a small, seperate town and the North Omaha page generally discusses the part of Omaha probably northeast of 42nd and Cummings. Izardstreet

Founded in 1818?

[edit]

I'll try to research this when I get where I can check references (unless someone else addresses it first), but this a typo, right? 1818? Since most of the rest of the history of Dundee starts in the 1880s, I assume that's the case (and while my Omaha history is rusty, I didn't think it much pre-dated the Civil War). I'm holding off on changing it until I've got a definite reference. If anyone has more ready access to that information, feel free to either make the change or (if accurate) cite the source.
