I'd like to revise the eCollege page on wikipedia. This company has been a major player in online learning since 1996 (prior to Blackboard's founding in 1997, and well before the patent litigations). If Wikipedia wishes to remain objective, an article should exist for eCollege, Angel, and Moodle.

That argument is a fallacy. The fact that a company is notable enough for an article does not mean Wikipedia must have articles about each competitor to maintain fairness and balance (this isn't [Fox News Channel]]). Each company mut stand or fall on its own merits. Having said that, being publicly traded on NASDAQ is pretty much automatic notability. The article still needs a rewrite to tone down the advert-style writing. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 06:23, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, being a competitor of other companies does not earn anyone a spot on this site. I attempted to tone down the advertorial-quality of the page, however I'm not entirely clear on what needs to be done. With that said, feel free to edit this page to be more objective. - Wise12day (talk) 16:30, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
