Merge with Fairview Township

[edit]

Feel this one sentence article would be better if merged into Faiview Township. It seems like something that should be mentioned in the township history section. --Dtbohrertalkcontribs 00:53, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If they waited two years then it would be an okay aricle. Plus, I added some. ''[[User:Kitia|Kitia'']] 18:36, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If "who" waited two years? I assume the people of Fairview. Still Fairview is only a township and would be better if this article was redirected to the township and the fact that Fairview was a distinct community until recently and should mentioned in the township article. You are welcome to convince me otherwise by finding the community website (not the township's) and also who is in charge of the actual "community" of Fairview. Also addresses and phone numbers are technically not allowed (see WP:NOT#DIR). --Dtbohrertalkcontribs 20:43, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You are completely missing the point- if the people of the Borough of Fairview waited two years to dissolve the municipality they wouldhave been covered by the Census 2000, which the RamBot found and uploaded to Wikipedia a while ago. Point two: Fairview is still a distinct community, it is just not a distinct municipality (there is a difference). Point three: Fairview is goverend by Fairview Township, and the township website has the information on the former borough. See also: Washington Boro, Pennsylvania, another former borough that got dissolved into another township. ''[[User:Kitia|Kitia'']] 20:05, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Alright. Also try to not duplicate any info from the township, to the borough page. Unless its historical and/or pretains to the borough before being dissolved. --Dtbohrertalkcontribs 20:28, 20 August 2007 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Poorwayfaringstranger (talkcontribs) [reply]
