Is it infected with a trojan?

[edit]

Every time I try to download the file from http://www.freemake.com/download?id=FreemakeVideoConverter.exe McAfee stops the download and put the file in quarantine imediately. I've tried it multiple times with the same result. Anyone else experiencing the same? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 51.175.83.9 (talk) 21:53, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I downloaded this software from its site several years ago. Works fine till now without any evidence of malicious software. But I just a slightly dissatisfied of animations and too many button clicks. Previous UI (with Win Forms, I think) was lightning fast and requires less clicks and window popups to perform the same things.

License Controversy Requires Elaboration

"FFmpeg developers claim that Freemake is violating their copyrights by distributing binaries of software from the FFmpeg project without complying with the GPL"

What exactly does this mean? What aspect of the GPL are they not complying with? The citation links to an unavailable page (404). I am removing this until a better explanation can be provided. "Violating copyrights for some unexplained reason" is simply not enough to warrant being mentioned.

I have fixed the link and improved the explanation.--Regression Tester (talk) 08:23, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Freemake Video Converter : When was Logo added?

[edit]

Hi,

According to Wikipedia, Freemake Video Converter, version 4.0.4.0 was the first to have a watermark logo at the end of videos lasting 5 mins or over.

Well, I tried an earlier version, 4.0.3.4 and this ALSO HAS the Watermark Logo!

My goal is to find the version produced immediately BEFORE the watermark Logo first appeared, ie, one which DOES NOT have the watermark Logo?

As I say, Wikipedia believed version 4.0.4.0 was the first time the Watermark Logo was introduced, but it clearly was not! Does anyone know the true answer to this, please?

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.64.87.212 (talk) 13:57, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
