Speedy deletion

[edit]

I contest the speedy deletion of this page within seconds of its creation, in particular while I'm still editing it. Socrates2008 (Talk) 08:43, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In future, try to develope your articles in a local Sandbox to avoid such problems. --triwbe (talk) 10:16, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How about waiting longer than a few seconds before trying to delete a new article? Not every article starts out life with GA status. Socrates2008 (Talk) 10:31, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid that would not work, I would have CSDs and so would 10,000 other patrollers. The onus is on the editor to make sure the first verion is up to the minimum standard, it says in Wikipedia:Your first article introduction sections 3 and 5. We have no way of knowing if you are going to improve the article in the next 5 minutes, 5 days or never. --triwbe (talk) 05:28, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
