Merger proposal

[edit]
  • The two article developed at a similar time and cover overlapping detail. We should have one article with authorative references. We should also have wikilinks to the articles we do have on regions and other geographic divisions or the category areas for those.--Matilda talk 03:28, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I would use this article as the base, rename it "Regions of New South Wales" and remove the section on LGAs, downgrading it to a link to Local Government Areas of New South Wales. -- Mattinbgn\talk 03:49, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I'd support that proposal. Orderinchaos 06:23, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • merger started on basis proposed by Mattinbgn - ie use predominantly text from Geog divisions and article title Regions of NSW. Work in progress to combine the best of both. Not sure about dismissing LGAs though as they are the fundamental building blocks of geographic divisions and regions in various forms are built up from LGAs in various combinations. Still a work in progress though - leaving the Geog Divsions article alone for the present. --Matilda talk 22:07, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
