[edit]

The government section of the "Outline of North Korea" needs to be checked, corrected, and completed -- especially the subsections for the government branches.

When the country outlines were created, temporary data (that matched most of the countries but not all) was used to speed up the process. Those countries for which the temporary data does not match must be replaced with the correct information.

Please check that this country's outline is not in error.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact The Transhumanist .

Thank you.

Syncretic Politics

[edit]

The position of Kim Jung Un and their Parliamentary officials does closely resemble Syncretic politics. Is this the case? I'd like some input prior to adding. Twillisjr (talk) 05:34, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

changing article name to Cabinet of North Korea

[edit]

I suggest to revert the name to the original name, Cabinet of North Korea, as this is the accurate term and this is used in the North Korean Constitution. Superzohar Talk 21:47, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The cabinet is only one part of North Korea's government: the Korean People's Army is part of the government, but not part of the cabinet. I notice that you've removed twice from the intro the referenced mention of the KPA's role in government: why is this? It would be helpful if you could give an WP:Edit summary when you make significant changes like that.
Also, you're proposing a rename, not a revert. The article has always been called "Goverment of...", not "Cabinet of...". You created a redirect from Cabinet of North Korea here last summer, but, as I explained to you at my talk page, this article has been called "Government of...", since its creation seven years ago. If you wanted to change your redirect Cabinet of North Korea to an article on the cabinet of NK, along the lines of the article Cabinet of South Korea, then that might be a good idea. Captain Conundrum (talk) 10:42, 17 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's what i say exactly, the Cabinet also known as Government, is the executive "arm" of the North Korean Political System. So, becuase the North Korean Constitution calls this arm Cabinet i ssugest to rename it to Cabinet. In Russia, for example the executive branch of state power, is called Government (Translated from 'pravitelstva' in Russian). So thats why the correspondent article about the Russian cabinet is called Government of Russia. As u said about Songun, because the KPA is not suboridnated to the Cabinet, info about it should be written either in Politics of North Korea, which describes the branches of the state authorieties, and also in National Defense Commission which it is directly subordinated to.Superzohar Talk 15:06, 17 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No, we're saying quite different things. And Cabinet of Russia redirects to Council of Ministers of Russia, though that redirect could likewise be converted to an article about the current cabinet redirected to Dmitry Medvedev's Cabinet. Captain Conundrum (talk) 15:19, 17 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Look, each political system's power (at least officialy) is divided among three branches: executive, legislative and judicial. the executive branch of the north korean system is the Cabinet. sometimes the word government is associated with the executive branch and sometime Cabinet. If we want to write more about the structure of the nk political system we should do it in Politics of North Korea, For example, party-military relations or government-party relations, organization of the political system etc. But in this article we write about the executive branch of the state which is the Cabinet, in some sources known as the Government and is responsible for implementing economic policies set by the Party. Superzohar Talk 16:37, 17 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Why should an article about a country's government only talk about the executive branch? There's an entire category Category:Government of North Korea: should all those articles talk only about the executive branch too? Captain Conundrum (talk) 09:07, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I see that rather than continue discussing it here, you've attempted to simply move the content over, and redirect this article. I've reverted the move and redirect: please don't move it again without getting consensus here first. Thank you. Captain Conundrum (talk) 18:47, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The English in this article is absolutely horrendous

[edit]

Not sure if anyone has noticed this (if you have shame on you for not pointing it out/fixing it earlier), but the English on this page is absolutely horrendous. You can't even understand some parts of the article due to incorrect usage and bad descriptions. Could someone please fix this?

Also, the article is poorly organised overall and could really use some more "renovations" if at all possible to make it better.

Is not identical with the notion of government known in the world

[edit]

For this one has to change some interwiki links for example in French - which fits the item Cabinet of North Korea. I tried to move this link also in Wikidata but I did not succeeded. In the Russian Wikipedia one has linked to the both items, but the item Правительство КНДР fits in fact only the Cabinet of North Korea. Ewan2 (talk) 20:32, 16 August 2022 (UTC) Ewan2[reply]
