Notability

[edit]

The entry in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography should justify an article. Inwind (talk) 10:05, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but you'll need significant, reliable 3rd party sources that are independent from the subject to establish notability. A single entry in a dictionary does not make him notable.— dαlus Contribs 10:08, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Enough references/information to suggest that there might be notability: that is enough to preclude it from speedy deletion. Also, having an entry in Oxford national biography is in itself enough to suggest that he is "notable." Take it to AFD if you feel it does not meet our inclusion criteria.
