Dates of birth and death

[edit]

1953 has been reinstated as Kaas’s year of death for the following reason: His grave is identified by Gravferdsetaten i Oslo kommune (the Oslo cemetery authority), with clear indications of his dates of birth and death.

This entry contained a reference to page 2 of the newspaper VG from 28 January 1955, which allegedly identifies Kaas as being cremated on 29 January (under the heading Bisettelser, possibly just a list of names). However, unless somebody can produce the actual newspaper page to prove we’re dealing with the same person, it seems more likely that the person in question just happened to have the same name. I’m inclined to think it refers to the Harald Kaas mentioned here, who was born in 1859.

I have written an Nowregian entry on Kaas detailing some of the known (?) facts about Kaas. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vinguru (talkcontribs) 08:06, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
