Statutory regulation.

The CPSM which was the original HCPC had been set up under the (I think) Professions Supplementary to Medicine Act 1960. A solicitor by name of Mr Tapsfield had assisted in piloting this through Parliament and he then became the first registrar (or head) of the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine (CPSM). The first address was in York House near Waterloo, London. The CPSM then moved to 184 Kennington Park Road, London SE11 4BU.
