Hyrbid audio CDs info

[edit]

While I don't have a secondary source, I know for sure that Hybrid CDs can have both data and audio tracks, without the data track containing copies of the audio. As you would expect, any data can be stored in the data track.

I not only have some--I have made them. — trlkly 08:27, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think the important question here is if that kind of CD is called a hybrid CD or not. What you describe fits the definition of an enhanced CD, such as a Mixed Mode CD. Is it the same as hybrid CDs? I don't really know yet. Sega381 (talk) 03:43, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

CD+DVD section

[edit]

This article seems to focus on Hybrid solution on the same physical format storing 2 different logical formats.
I am also interested in hybrid of 2 physical formats:
I would like to see at least see also section where there is at least link to CD+DVD solution.
Because such physical formats which use multi layer are often compatible with CD as 1st layer and DVD or BluRay as 2nd layer. 90.235.77.50 (talk) 16:38, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
