The official emblem of the 1986 FIFA World Cup adopted in 1984 used in the text this typeface.[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nekko09 (talkcontribs) 19:28, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I also believe this is the typeface for Fox News Channel's lower thirds graphics if I'm not mistaken. Curvebill (talk) 17:51, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A former artist at Harmonix confirmed to me that Avant Garde is (with minor alteration) the font used in the famous title graphic and most in-game text for the Rock Band series. 75.172.25.54 (talk) 19:51, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Who is William Sans and why does nobody know him?

[edit]

I did a Google search for "William Sans LET", hoping it might be some free knockoff that I could use on a website, and I found absolutely no mention of it anywhere. The only results are Wikipedia clones and sites that steal random phrases from around the Web and use SEO to trick people into giving them traffic. Is there any evidence that such a font actually exists? Octan (talk) 01:10, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Electronic music project Autechre used Avant Garde font for their logo at one time. Source: [2] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.141.77.24 (talk) 01:26, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
