This article in its current state has a strong POV w.r.t. an ongoing political topic (Ukraïne conflict). The section «2022 World Cup controversy» cites the following sources:

There is no indication of potential bias. The information is presented as authorative, unbiased, encyclopedic (i.e. kinda «scientific») data. This is not neutral and simply false.

Ukraïnian and Russian media prima facie must be seen as highly prone to bias. Media of strongly supporting nations also must be seen like this. An encyclopedia must not take a position in an ongoing war and it must not submit to politically motivated cencorship. To report the happenings and utterings around the war in a most neutral way, it must explicitely declare the direction from which an information comes. All UA/RU sources must be marked with their resp. orgin and a missing of sources from the other side must be highlited. This should be extended to sources from the US, the EU, Belarus etc.

This is different from cases like e.g. Corona where the core information mainly stems from scientific sources basing their statements on scientific research of nature. Here, the sources – even from the so-called political sciences – are political, politically instrumentalized, and/or more or less highly politicized. This is even more important as the EN-Wikipedia is already Western and even more US biased, and esp. the US – after decades of political persecution and repression, and centuries of apartheid and racism – is well-known for a strong Russo-phobic tendency.

There are many sources which share the Russian bias and they must always (!) be included in company with Ukraïnian sources to maintain a neutral POV. E.g. the notorious RT:

A specific example of POV

»Thus, it has become a pro-war symbol.«

This seems to be the opinion of the Spanish newspaper denouncing the »Z« as »warmongering symbol«. The other POV is, that it is not a symbol of war, as it is seen by the athlete himself (his POV and motive not mentioned), other users of it or, as a German court put it:

«The letter has become the symbol the Russian symbol <sic!>, behind which the government is trying to unite the country. It means "for victory". (To that end quoted from [German] Wikipedia […])

Solidarity with Russia is also not necessarily the same as approval of the Russian war of aggression and the war crimes committed. The Z in itself does not have this meaning either, even if it is translated as "for victory". From its point of view, Russia is also fighting "for victory" with NATO and the EU and their eastward expansion. The defendant also expressly referred to this to the police officers.»
