Commander in Chief of Prince Edward's Island

[edit]

In 1891, when Major-General Herbert was General Officer Commanding the Forces Canada, the New York Times reported that Lord Stanley of Preston had been appointed in 1888 Governor General of Canada and Commander in Chief of Prince Edward's Island.[1] This could have been an error, but it might point to an anomaly which existed before 1904?

I wonder if this suggests a plausible question worth investigating further? --Tenmei (talk) 12:48, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deaths at Treowen in 1977

[edit]

The third External Source, which doesn't work, is intended to support the claim of 17 deaths at Treowen in 1977. That sounds a very high number! Was it a fire? I can't find it on Google. Does anyone have a source/further details? Have also posted on Treowen's Talkpage. KJP1 (talk) 08:07, 24 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
