Plc v Ltd

JLR is a private Limited company, not public, it's name is therefore Jaguar Land Rover Ltd. http://www.jaguarlandrover.com/index.html V8guinness (talk) 19:36, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

I've changed PLC to Limited/Ltd throughout the article, let's hope it gets to stay that way. Thomas.W (talk) 20:29, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
According to Companies House, Jaguar Land Rover Limited is owned by JAGUAR LAND ROVER AUTOMOTIVE PLC. The question is: should the article be about the holding company or the company designing and manufacturing cars... I suspect this article is about the holding company, and the Jaguar and Land Rover articles deal with everything else. Warren (talk) 23:52, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

Land Rover Discovery

Apparently according to this article, the Land Rover Discovery is categorized as a "medium sized" SUV. Is this really how Land Rover classifies the Discovery ? Or is this is some person's "perception" of medium sized ? Editors please correct accordingly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.213.232.168 (talk) 21:22, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

Out of date information

The JLR company was restructured in 2012/13. Neither Land Rover or Jaguar Cars are active registered companies any longer. See the JLR 2012/13 annual report for more detils (http://www.jaguarlandrover.com/pdf/Jaguar_Land_Rover_Automotive_plc_Annual_Report_2012-2013.pdf). The current structure is:

  • Tata Motors owns Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC.
  • Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC owns Jaguar Land Rover Holdings Limited.
  • Jaguar Land Rover Holdings Limited owns Jaguar Land Rover Limited.
  • Jaguar Land Rover Limited designs, builds and sells cars branded both Jaguar and Land Rover.
