Anarchist?

[edit]

Err, is it possible to have some citation of him as an anarchist? The top rated Google link describes him as a political prisoner.

Here. The top Ghit is a support site, its not surprising they consider him a political prisinor. I'm not aware of any reliable source that describes him as such (they only say he considers himself one). Rockpocket 18:19, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

sentencing

[edit]

Can I get some consensus on whether this was a good call or whether I was right to revert it?P4k (talk) 23:18, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lead issues

[edit]

The lead section of this article has some things that need to be fixed.

Luers is identified as a green anarchist and a vegan in the first sentence. The "Green anarchism" Wikipedia article is tagged as having multiple issues that need correcting; I'm not sure this term is in common enough usage to be used in an article lead, establishing the notability of the subject. An earlier version of the article named him as an "environmental activist." I believe that is better supported by the reliable sources about Luers.

His status as a vegan may bear mentioning, but not in the lead sentence. It's simply not that unusual to be a vegan.

Neither of the two sources used for that lead sentence appear to pass WP:RS.

The statements about sentencing are confusing, and could use some wordsmithing. The way it's phrased now, it sounds like he is serving a sentence that was overturned...a contradiction in terms.

I think the article needs a lot of work, overall; these are just the most glaring problems. -Pete (talk) 02:34, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rescue tag

[edit]

I have tagged this article for WP:RESCUE given the amount of coverage of the topic in reliable sources: Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL.  Skomorokh  15:01, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
