The catholic encyclopedia is a copyrighted material, it seems. Can you please verify whether the material is useable here?

I had assumed from its extensive use elsewhere in WP that it was not. I have removed until this can be verified. Dbuckner 12:47, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Catholic Encyclopedia article on WP: "Under United States copyright law, all works published in the United States before 1923 are in the public domain." Therefore the 1914 edition of the Catholic Encyclopedia is not in copyright - a number of copies exist in full online. Nevertheless, the text quoted by the Catholic encyclopedia was from the 18th century and can be found independently of the encyclopedia. I have included the reference and text from that book instead. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.73.151.5 (talk) 19:55, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pronounciation

[edit]

Could someone, please, add the correct Portuguese pronounciation of Poinsot? It is easy to find the Portuguese pronounciation for João, and the French pronounciation for Poinsot, but I'm far from sure that Portuguese would use the French form. --Ehitaja (talk) 12:03, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
