[edit]

The Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior (JEAB) was established in 1958 as a peer-reviewed, psychology journal, that publishes research about the experimental analysis of behavior. JEAB states its mission as being primarily for the "original publication of experiments relevant to the behavior of individual organisms".[1]

The journal is abstracted and indexed in PubMed, PsycINFO, and Web of Science, among others. It is published bimonthly by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the Society for the Experimental Analysis of Behavior. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2014 impact factor of 1.865.[2] JEAB publishes over 50 articles per year; most of them empirical but also theoretical papers and scholarly book reviews. JEAB has published many seminal papers in experimental psychology. For example, Richard Herrnstein's "On the Law of Effect" was published in JEAB in 1970.[3]

  • The above proposed text is not an adequate replacement of the current text. The claim of having published "seminal" papers is promotional and can only be included if this is stated by a source independent of the journal itself. Highlighting just one article, without any independent source stating why this article has a special importance for the development of this journal, is rather idiosyncratic, I'd say.
As for the editorial board, please see WP:NOTDIRECTORY and WP:JWG. Apart from the editor-in-chief, we do not list associate editors or board members, unless there are independent sources discussing the role of one of these persons in the journal. --Randykitty (talk) 11:58, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
